Job Description
TM Floyd & Company is hiring a W-2 Network Technician in the historic city of Charleston, SC. The person in this position will provide technical support for mobile applications. If you are an experienced Network Technician or Mobile Applications Technician looking for diverse and challenging, we have just the position you seek. The Network Technician will be responsible for the following day-to-day tasks:
  • Mobile Device Management
  • Create scripts to automate defined processes
  • Maintain configuration policies
  • Develop and maintain Wi-Fi configuration “push” settings
  • Create and maintain device registration codes
  • Develop upgrade packages and assist with deployment
  • Manage network
  • Manage an application-intelligent traffic management system
  • Monitor wireless network and diagnose problems with wireless devices
  • Monitor the Network Access Control application
  • Serve as liaison with instructional coordinators, educational technology staff, and information technology staff
  • Provide excellent customer service

Required Skills

  • Associates degree in Networking Technology or related field and two additional years of related experience in network technology
  • At least 2 years of network management experience
  • Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining an enterprise wireless network
  • A broad understanding of wide area network basics to include metro-Ethernet and MPLS
  • Experience with MDM products in an enterprise environment is a plus
  • Must be self directed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Wi-fi diagnostics experience
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous mobile device management
  • 4 years of experience supporting Cisco products
  • 4 years of wireless/mobile application support
